The groundhog has spoken! It’s an early spring this year and that means you get to head out and enjoy automotive goodness even earlier than usual. Ready to stretch your legs? Good, because March 2020 is absolutely PACKED with auto events you need to see. From IndyCar and LOORRS to Daytona Bike Week and Goodguys Nationals, there’s a little something for everyone.
Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show
Got spare parts? Need spare parts? Interested in a dream car show while you figure it out? The Pomona Swap Meet and Classic Car Show is the place to be as March walks through the front door. With over 30,000 people and 15 miles of parts, accessories, automobilia, and (of course) classic cars—not to mention California sunshine—the 2020 Pomona Swap Meet gives you a really good reason to take a few days off, head west, and celebrate car culture. Going down March 1 at Fairplex, this is a one-day event, held seven times a year. Click here for more information on this specific meet, as well as details on the full schedule for 2020.

Jeep Jamboree: 5th Table Mesa
Come on—you know you’ve always loved the idea of a Jeep Jamboree. Even if you’re just getting into the swing of wheelin’, these events are the perfect get-away. Family-friendly, instructional, and just damn fun, you simply can’t go wrong. The 5th Table Mesa, running March 5-7 in the 11,000+ acres of the Table Mesa Recreation area, offers demanding trails, beautiful high-desert views, and some spooky-but-fun Old West history. (Think: mine shafts and ghost towns.) It’s time to head out west and live that dream.

Mint 400: The Great American Off-Road Race
Do you love off-road racing? What part of it—the obstacles? The speed? The rides? If you’ve checked yes for all the above, you need to head to the Mint 400, March 6-7. Known as the oldest and most prestigious off-road racing event in the U.S., it suffered a big hiatus lasting about 20 years. Since its return in 2008, it’s been a smash hit! We’re talking 550 race teams, 80 classes, and you enjoying it all in the one-and-only Las Vegas. Get the details here.
Daytona Bike Week
Your truck and hotrod aren’t the only engine-powered piece of American history worth celebrating. That big two-wheeler parked in the garage needs some lovin’ too! The legendary Daytona Bike Week is going down March 6-15. Ten full days of bike shows, races, vendor displays, festivals, concerts and more, all with a beautiful Florida back-drop are just what you need to haul out that big old bike and head south for a little sunny vacation.
Don’t miss the world’s largest motorcycle event! And, while you’re there, be sure to check out the 50th Annual Daytona Supercross, March 7 at Daytona International Speedway.

Racewars USA Season Opener
As a new generation begins making waves in this industry, we get to experience fresh perspectives and traditions. Racewars USA is just that. Founded on dreams inspired by the Fast and the Furious Franchise, this event is jam-packed with unique builds, legal racing, and shared passions. It welcomes all sorts, including imports, domestics, euros, trucks, classics, bikes, and more. 32nd Annual Florida Mopar Nationals
I’m not going to lie… I’m a little Mopar biased. This doesn’t mean I don’t love other makes, but when an event like the 32nd Annual Mopar Nationals comes up, I’m all about promoting it. Why? Because, if you’re a lifelong Mopar guy or gal, you know the pain of everything being for Fords and GMs.
Held in sunny South Florida on Sunday, March 8, this huge gathering of Mopar nuts promises swap meets, vendor displays, car shows, raffles, entertainment and more. Learn more here.

Goodguys LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals
Yes, my puny brain goes berserk over Mopar, but it does have the sense to say that variety is the spice of life. Even if your love is limited to vintage iron, you can’t just throw on blinders and ignore everything else out there. Goodguys events are great way to diversify those interests.
Car shows, swap meets, autocross and everything in between, these events have proven to be some of America’s favorite automotive happening. So, if you’re ready to experience what a true car show is all about, you’re ready to hang with the Goodguys. Consider hitting up the LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals March 13-15 at the Texas Motor Speedway. It’s the 10th anniversary and it looks like a special “Ultimate Truck Showcase” is on the schedule. Get more information here.

IndyCar Series: Firestone Grand Prix of Saint Petersburg
Why are the streets of Saint Petersburg, Florida being closed down? For IndyCar! That’s right, the Firestone Grand Prix of Saint Petersburg is back for the 10th consecutive year. This marks the start of IndyCar’s 2020 season and what a way to kick things off!
Drivers hit the scenic 1.8-mile street circuit March 13-15, while both the USF2000 and IndyPro go down March 12-14. So, pack those bags and head to Florida for some of the fastest racing in America! Click here for more information.
Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series
March 2020 is filled to the brim with auto events—both on and off the asphalt. As if IndyCar and the Mint 400 weren’t enough to get your heart racing, LOORRS is on the roster too. The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series is where all the trophy truck nuts will be headed to watch Pro2, Pro4 and ProLite drivers duke it out on the dirt. With the need to get in on the action you’d better head to San Bernardino, California March 14-15. Find the schedule and event info here.

Rednecks with Paychecks Off-Road Spring Break
If you’re not already familiar with this event, you’re probably asking yourself what in God’s name is Rednecks with Paychecks is. Well, find some good old country boys and give them the money to fund their dreams and this is what you end up with.
Big trucks, ATVs, deep pits, wild competition, and ridiculous amounts of fun over four days and 1,000 acres of mud. What more could you ask for? If you’re looking for a different kind of Spring Break experience—this might just be it. Running March 19-22 in Saint Jo, Texas, you can learn more here.

Hey, we said March 2020 was JAM-PACKED with auto events and we weren’t lying! Check back soon as we’ll be hitting you with a Part 2!
