If you check out the list below, you can knock them for wasting their lives working while you were out enjoying an amazing automotive event that elevated your views on life.

Check out these must-see November auto events in 2022.

SEMA Show 2022

I’m not about to start off by acting like you don’t know what SEMA is. In fact, you’ve probably already got a ticket. I’m just here to remind you that it’s right around the corner.

November 1-4 is your chance to drool over thousands of killer builds, meet with industry leaders, and maybe even bump into a celebrity influencer or two at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Missing out takes your finger off the pulse, and that’s simply not an option.

WOO: World Finals

Any World of Outlaws race is sure to get you feeling all fired up. However, none are sure to match the intensity of the WOO: World Finals.

Set to go down on November 2-5, this race pins the best drivers of Sprint Cars, Late Models, and the Super DIRTcar series against one another to figure out who’s the best of the best. It’s all going down at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, which means you’ll get to be a little warmer for a little longer.

From the road to the track to the trail, Eaton Performance offers a broad portfolio of differentials to meet the unique needs of performance and enthusiast drivers. With a high-quality lineup covering locking and limited-slip, automatically engaging, and driver-selectable products, you can transform your daily driver, run the quarter mile, or conquer Mother Nature.

SVRA 2022 Austin Speedtour

Yeah, you heard everything about your buddy’s buddy taking a trip down to Texas to check out F1. Big deal. Right? You can one-up them by heading out to check out SVRA’s 2022 Austin Speedtour.

It’s taking place at the Circuit of the Americas track on November 3-6, and you’ll get the chance to watch Formula B and Formula Vee races. I bet that so-called “gearhead” never even heard of either.

Radical World Finals 2022

Las Vegas is on the verge of exploding with all of the automotive awesomeness going down this November. What’s next, you ask? The Radical World Finals are set for November 9-13.

Yeah, you might as well just make a long vacation out of it because you’re going to see Radical Motorsport celebrating 25 years of success in the best way possible. There’s going to be a lot to love about the Spring Mountain Motor Resort, especially watching iconic cars tackling the infamous Charleston Peak Circuit.

Mecum Auctions – Las Vegas 2022

Vegas ain’t done yet! Strap in, because Mecum is going down too. Seriously, what an amazing city. No other geological location can handle all of this.

Don’t worry if you can’t fly out there twice in one month. There’s nothing quite like watching thousands of classic cars go on the auction block from the comfort of your own home. (Plus, no one can give you side eye when you insult another enthusiast’s idea of a ‘restoration.’)

Tune in or turn up November 10-12.

Auto Club NHRA Finals

It’s sad when anything comes to an end, but that’s when you see the best action. Don’t believe me? Then you need to go check out the Auto Club NHRA Finals on November 10-13.

The amount of power unleashed on the iconic Auto Club raceway will be unfathomable, but only four champions will be recognized. You really don’t want to miss out on this final showdown.

Carlisle Auctions: Lakeland Fall Collector Car Auction

Yes, Carlisle Events gets its name from its hometown of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. No, this is not going down in the great northeast. It is a great reason to go to Florida, though.

Just think about 400 chances to land a classic car of your dreams in the sunshine state during the return of Carlisle Auctions. Pretty sweet deal, right? So, pack your bags and catch a plane south for November 11-12.

Goodguys

Is it really Competition Corner without a twofer? For this year’s November auto events, we’re looking at a double-dose of Goodguys events – which is really about as much as one could safely handle anyway.

The first is the 32nd Autumn Get-Together at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA, which runs November 12-13. Then the 25th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals hits the WestWorld of Scottsdale, Arizona, on November 18-20. They may be miles and miles apart, but you can count on either one delivering that legendary shock of auto-culture your system needs.

SCORE – 2022 Baja 1000

If you off-road nuts are wondering when your system’s getting a shock, this is it. And it’s probably more than you signed up for.

The SCORE Baja 1000 is the standard of off-road racing. Everyone in the industry looks forward to its arrival, despite countless others trying to deliver even a sample of what it brings to the table. Whether you’ll be eating dirt on the sidelines or tuning in remotely, November 15-20 are the dates you need to remember.

The SCORE Baja 1000 makes The Engine Block's list of must-see November auto events in 2022.

LA Auto Show

Expo season is in full swing, and nothing should excite vehicle owners more. It’s an opportunity to get out of the house, see what’s new in the world, and what will work best for your daily driving needs.

The LA Auto Show is a great event to check out, with thousands of vehicles on display and a helpful peek at what’s around the bend – especially in the EV department. Rumor has it that Tesla might even drop some crazy news too. Speaking of which, Media Day will be just one day, so if you’re in the industry, you’d better make plans to attend November 18-27.

49th Annual Turkey Run

It’s the Turkey Run. Yeah, that show. The one that puts you and your classic, along with thousands of others, right in the dead center of the Daytona International Speedway. If that doesn’t fire you up, 2,500 swap meet spaces in the same space absolutely should.

There are also going to be many other ways for you and the family to enjoy it. So, pack your bags, and get ready to spend the great American holiday in Florida November 24-27.

62nd Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Autorama

Not interested in Florida? Then Texas is probably a little more your speed. Why? Because O’Reilly’s Autorama has every kind of killer car you’d want to see and every vendor that makes it possible to build them the way you want them to.

You might even get to meet celebrity guests Brad and Jolene from Bad Chad’s Customs, Dave Kindig of Bitchin’ Rides, or even Danny Koker and Kevin Mack of Counting Cars. Who knows? You might bump into all of them. The only way to find out is by heading to Houston November 24-27.

21st Annual Thanksgiving Classic

Who doesn’t love stock car racing? At least if you’re American, it’s in your DNA. You don’t have a choice but to love it. The same goes for Thanksgiving. So, what happens when you pair the two together? Well, you’re about to find out this November 25-27.

That’s when the 21st Annual Thanksgiving Classic is set to tear up the Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, North Carolina, which you really don’t have the choice not to attend.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that car culture is meant to shared. Competition Corner is a monthly column in which we, auto enthusiasts, give you, our fellow car lovers, the rundown on what’s what in the world of upcoming events across the country. From racing to off-roading, car shows to swap meets, we aim to include something for everyone to enjoy. If you’re eager and ready to get out and experience the action, check out these must-see listings and be sure to tune in next month for another round-up.
