Maximize Your Cargo Van’s Cargo Management With TrailFX Van Ladder Racks

TrailFX Van Ladder Racks are unobtrusive and affordable, adding convenience and functionality to an already workman-friendly ride.

Despite their somewhat underwhelming styling, modern cargo vans offer incredible versatility and convenience to commercial fleets, small business owners, and tradesmen the world over. With spacious interiors providing extra cargo security, impressive fuel economy, and essentially an entire billboard’s worth of advertising space, the plucky little work van is giving the traditional pickup truck a run for its money among professionals.

And according to Automotive Fleet Magazine, research indicates the full-size segment is showing an impressively low rate of depreciation, as well—7.8% over the 12-month period ending in July 2019, compared to the national average of 12.9%. While that doesn’t match that of full-size pickups (5.2%), it shows that there exists a healthy demand for serviceable cargo vans.

With Ford, GM, RAM, and Mercedes all rolling out some impressive updates for the 2019 and 2020 model years, it might just be time for you to make the switch. From active safety features to beefed-up drivetrains, work vans are starting to look a little more… dare we say it… cool?

Cargo Vans Need Cargo Management Too

But just because the segment is heating up, doesn’t mean the OEs get to have all the fun. Aftermarket suppliers have some innovative products on hand as well, working to maximize convenience, comfort, and usability. And one of the more unassuming ones that you seriously shouldn’t overlook is the TrailFX van ladder rack.

Sure, it’s easy to get waylaid by the flashy sliding cargo shelves or ergonomic computer docking stations. But chances are, if you’re doing the kind of work that requires a mobile office, showroom, and/or warehouse, some part of your day likely includes the use of a ladder.

Available in 500- and 600-pound capacities, the TrailFX van ladder racks use a universal two-bar construction that offers a 53”-63” adjustable length. They’re constructed of black or white powder-coated steel to ensure they stand up to heavy use and bad weather, and can be had in configurations that fit vans with or without gutters. You can also add an extension rack to increase carrying capability by another 200-250 pounds, depending on the model.

Installation is easy, taking a little over an hour to complete. All necessary hardware is included with your purchase, and no drilling or cutting is required. Additionally, while the TrailFX van ladder racks were designed with the intention of transporting ladders, they can also be used for lumber, pipe, and other similar materials. (When properly tied down and not exceeding the capacity of the rack or vehicle, of course.)

To keep these racks in tip-top shape, TrailFX recommends regular applications of non-abrasive automotive wax to protect the finish (and your investment). But if something should happen, rest easy knowing that they come backed by a 3-year warranty.

Maximize Convenience

Consider ramping up your work van’s functionality by adding a set of TrailFX side running boards and a rear step board.

Constructed of heavy-duty 14 gauge, precision stamped carbon steel, TrailFX van side steps feature aggressive traction lugs designed for maximum footing in all weather conditions. Additionally, the wide step surface is fully e-coated to resist rust and corrosion, and is reinforced with an industrial grade powder-coat finish that’s guaranteed to last for years. Welded end caps work hard to deflect road debris and an innovative track-mounting system allows for multiple mounting positions, so you can clear those mud flaps.

Available in multiple lengths to fit a wide variety of popular vans (and trucks!), these side steps have a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Installation is easy, thanks to complete packaging that includes all hardware, brackets, and detailed instructions. Some minor drilling is required, so consider grabbing a buddy to make the process go more smoothly.

Prioritize van access with a rear step from TrailFX, as well. Available in two designs, Aggressive Tread Aluminum and E-Coated Steel, this step mounts under the rear bumper and has wide, solid surface for sure footing.
