Trifekta Phantom Fuel Pump Feeds MASSIVE Power
Horsepower. We need more horsepower. And how do you make more horsepower? Well, we all have our preferred recipes. Some of us like compression. Some like boost. And, of course, there are those who argue that there is simply no replacement for displacement.
Regardless of the build, we know that there are two key ingredients needed to make that power: spark and fuel. And while most of us spend time perfecting cam selection and ignition systems, sometimes we forget about the fuel. But in a world where horsepower standards keep climbing, it’s important not to forget about this precious resource. Since Aeromotive is celebrating a milestone anniversary this year, we thought it was only fitting to highlight their new Trifekta Phantom fuel pump—the perfect answer for those in hot pursuit of massive power.

What is Phantom Technology?
There are plenty of fuel pumps on the market that do their job well. So, you may be thinking, “What makes the Trifekta Phantom fuel pump so important?” Well, to answer that question we have to take a deeper look at Aeromotive’s SEMA award-winning Phantom line.
For starters, the Phantom series pumps are in-tank units. This alone gives them a major advantage in terms of fuel delivery. Additionally, there’s no need to swap to a fuel cell or custom tank in order to run these pumps, as they’re designed to work in nearly all fuel tanks. The entire system is modular and can be cut to height, allowing them to even accommodate 6″ shallow tanks.

Seamless installation, in-tank placement, and, oh yea, an extremely quiet operation—starting to see why it’s called the “Phantom”?
The ability to run almost any tank is a major plus, but the ground-breaking features don’t stop there. These pumps work as a sump. They live in a rubber and foam baffle that is designed to keep the pump completely submerged in fuel at all times. This means that no matter the angle of the vehicle or the violent nature of the turns and launches, the pump never starves of fuel.
So, what is the Trifekta Phantom Fuel Pump?
Up until recently, these pumps came in four different configurations supporting up to 2000-hp. This seems like it covers most applications, but honestly, more and more power-hungry builders peak well beyond this mark. In any situation, this amount of power makes it nearly impossible for most pumps to deliver fuel with standard and even creative means.

The Trifekta has been introduced to aid those on the ever-climbing ladder of speed. These units are designed by tying three 450lph pumps together into one Phantom unit. This makes it possible to support applications with over 2000-hp while reaping the rewards of the Phantom setup.
“Aeromotive’s new Phantom Trifekta is designed to extend the patented Phantom technology into the realm of ultra-high horsepower street/strip applications,” says Aeromotive. “Equipped with triple 450lph, E85 friendly Walbro pumps, the new Aeromotive Trifekta supports staged pump control to reduce recycling and improve continuous duty capability. The Trifekta is ready to feed blown EFI applications making a whopping 1,650 FWHP on E85 and as much as 2,400 FWHP on gas.”
Special Features
Like other Phantom fuel pumps, the Trifekta features Aeromotive’s signature high-capacity foam and bladder baffle that requires no complicated fabrication or welding for installation. It innovates the Phantom design with a 6” diameter top plate and triple, separated electrical bulkheads to allow independent pump control. The Trifekta Phantom Fuel Pump also uses a larger, custom Phantom gasket and internal c-ring. All parts necessary to mount in-tank are included with purchase.
A tight, low-profile package is in mind with these units and on some late-model applications these pumps will actually fit right in place of the factory sending unit.

For extra control of the fuel inside the foam, you can upgrade your setup with a new Phantom Bladder Baffle. “Installed in the inlet passages at the base of the Phantom Bladder, the new Phantom Bladder Baffle increases the flow area into the Bladder to promote rapid fuel recovery from the surrounding tank while deploying a PTFE check ball that acts to keep that critical fuel in the bladder, preventing it from escaping during hard acceleration, cornering, and off-angle vehicle maneuvers,” explains Aeromotive.
The Phantom Bladder Baffle is compatible with gasoline and ethanol fuels and needs no special tools for installation.
Track Tested, Enthusiast Approved
Aeromotive has a way of introducing products that aren’t overly complicated and innovative for the sake of innovation. This company draws inspiration from its time spent at the track—not behind a computer trying to reinvent the wheel. Aeromotive’s product development, including the new Trifekta Phantom Fuel Pump, is rooted in the real world, tested and fine-tuned by the very real enthusiasts who make up the company.
And spoiler alert: they love big horsepower as much as you do.
